When refining facial skin, peels are a popular option. Peels can restore sun-damaged, wrinkled, blemished, acne scarred or blotchy skin to a more youthful appearance. The results are smoother more even toned skin. The skin will look younger, tighter and fresher than before although it cannot remove all facial flaws. Deeper lines, wrinkles and other flaws require additional treatments or more invasive techniques. Below is an overview of our peels:
You will feel great after a session with him, both in appearance and mentally.
Enzyme Peel – $90
Vitamin C Enzyme Peel utilizes high doses of Vitamin C which penetrate to tighten and brighten the skin. Highly active medical grade organic enzymes speed up cellular turnover and tighten up skin right before your eyes. (60 minutes)
Glycolic (AHA) Acid Peel – $90
By far our most popular treatment, glycolic acid, derived from sugar cane, is nontoxic and well tolerated by most people. Glycolic acid peels are usually very superficial peels, but can also be more agressive at higher concentrations. Glycolic peels exfoliate dead layers of the skin and, typically, require no downtime. They also help reduce acne related conditions by freeing impacted debris from the pores, improve texture of the skin. Because of the small size of its molecules, which facilitates penetration, results can be faster for people who do not have sensitive skin.
Jessner Peel – $200
This is a medium depth peel designed for more extensive damage than AHA’s can improve. It is made from salicylic acid (a beta hydroxy acid), lactic acid (an alpha hydroxy acid) and resorcinol. First we apply a glycolic cleanser to fully remove the oils and dead protein layer, then the Jessner solution is applied. We usually apply several layers depending on the amount of damage and your tolerance to the treatment. Your skin will develop a whitened look, known as “frosting” that will dissipate within a few hours. Retinoic acid may also be applied to calm the skin and increase peeling effects of the treatment. Your skin will peel and flake for about 7 days and turn pink or brown afterwards, fully recovering to a healthy state within two weeks.

Used in varying concentrations, most commonly medium-depth peeling , our concentrated version of this treatment transforms skin. TCA treatments are medically surpised and result in long lasting improvement of photodamaged skin. We also offer deeper TCA treatments performed by Board Certified Surgeons.
Additional Alpha-hydroxy Acid (AHA) Peels
Like Glycolic Acid, these AHA’s come from a family of natural compounds. These treatments can effectively reduce fine wrinkles, and improve the appearance of aged and sun damaged skin. Some of these acids can also dissolve acne causing dirt and oil. Most peeling treatments are progressive meaning multiple treatments must be performed to achieve desired effects.
Lactic (AHA) Acid Peel – $100
Made from sour milk, is ideal for sensitive skin or skin unable to tolerate other AHA acids. Lactic acid peel helps to eliminate germs, toxins and dead cells. It also helps to maintain the skin’s pH factor. Lactic Acid Peel is indicated for the rejuvenation of sun-damaged skin, acne, unwanted pigmentation, fine lines, and actinic damage. It actually increases new cell growth, stimulates collagen production, and new elastic fibers in the deeper dermal layers. Lactic Acid is a superior exfoliant, and may be one of the best treatments yet for hyper-pigmentation.
M&M (AHA) Acid Peel – $100
The so called “M&M” Peel delivers powerful results with safe, comfortable yet potent combination of Mandelic and Malic Acids. Both ingredients are powerful Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs). Mandelic Acid is naturally antibacterial, making it the must-have for acne-prone skin. Malic Acid is a natural humectant, keeping skin hydrated. Added anti-inflammatory Algae Extract protects skin from the common irritation associated with AHAs.
Salicylic (BHA) Acid Peel
Salicylic (a “beta” hydroxy acid”) is derived from aspirin. This treatment is particularly helpful in clearing clogged follicles and in promoting exfoliation. Salicylic acid is lipid (oil) soluble solution and is antibacterial, thus giving acne sufferers added relief. In fact, Salicylic acid is considered one of the best peels for relieving acne. This peel is a more dramatic method in obtaining a healthy, bright, clear skin appearance. Salicylic acid works differently than Glycolic or Lactic acids. Salicylic acid works from the deeper layers of the skin and able to penetrate the comedones (blackheads) better than other acids.
I’ve heard some scary things about chemical peels, and an enzyme peel sounds like a safer alternative. Can you tell me more about those treatments?
Chemical peels range in severity based on the active ingredient and it’s PH level. Anyone considering a Chemical Peel should be aware that the most intense of these treatments should only be administered by a medical professional. Lighter Alpha-hydroxy Acid (AHA) and Enzyme Peels are safe and effective organic treatments which have been performed over centuries. Enzymes are not only good for nutrition but also to peel off epidermal cells, which aids in regenerating the skin. An Enzyme peel accelerates the natural exfoliate process of the skin to get rid of dead skin cells, promote young cell renewal, and visibly diminish scars, stretch marks, aging spots and lines, sun damage, and skin discoloration. Enzymes penetrate the upper layers of the tissue, cleansing pores and improving skin texture, tone, elasticity and tautness.
